A lifetime of travel experiences
My degree is in education but I decided early on that being a teacher wasn't my calling. Being a travel agent was my passion. Being able to share an adventure, a wish fulfilled, or a experience that changes lives is really what my travel passion is all about. And lucky me! I've been doing exactly that for the past 40 years.
And feel that I am just hitting my stride. I discovered Europe as a young girl in my twenties when I taught school for the Air Force in Germany. it was my first experience being out of the country and I couldn't believe that how life changing it was. I decided that I had to find a way to keep traveling when I returned to the United
States and enrolled in the International Academy of Travel. After graduation I worked for two agencies in the DC area, one specializing in corporate travel and one in vacation travel. I spent every possible minute getting better at what I did. I became an expert on the Caribbean and discovered my love for France and Italy. My husband over time became wheelchair bound and I found a way to be an expert on traveling with disabilities. My friends wanted me to take them to some of my favorite places and I became a group leader building the trips myself using tour guides and tour companies that I trust. I still use my own unique blend of guides and companies.
As my clients aged, I continued to offer my own unique travel style and now my groups happen to luxury destinations and to luxury ships 2 to 3 times each year. My clientele continues to grow by word of mouth. I opened the agency in 1983 and we joined what was then Ask Mr Foster, now Travel Leaders, in 1988. The agency does it all as we are in a small area in Eastern Washington state. We have won an Award of Excellence every day for the past 15 years. I'm proud to be a part of this industry and to share the world with my customers and friends
